This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus!
Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical; have the ability to work full-time, 40+ hours per week. The hours for this position are 2:15pm - 10:15pm, Monday-Friday.
Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, Bodycote deems this position to be safety-sensitive.
Position Summary:
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk packs customer parts and ensures all paperwork is in order to ship parts and unpacks, inspects, and stages customer parts for production, and receives all other materials shipped to the site.
Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):
The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customers’ inventory and, as such, will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
Use the ERP system to generate documents and perform shipping/receiving functions.
Review the job folder, inspect, and pack parts being shipped.
Document all applicable data for parts being shipped per job folder.
Prepare all appropriate documents to go with the parts as per the job folder.
Receive deliveries and unpack the product for production.
Inspect incoming customer parts and verify product count.
Initiate the job folder and hand it off to production planning.
Document all applicable data for parts being received per job folder.
Prepare all appropriate documents to go with the parts as per the job folder.
Communicate and collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely shipment and resolve issues.
Assist the supervisor in developing processes that will improve operations
Observe all Environment, Health, and Safety Policy requirements.
Keeping the work area neat and orderly at all times.
Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Disposal of waste per safety standards.

This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident cardholders.
Education – High School diploma.
Experience – working experience in a production environment.
Organized and accurate documentation skills with basic MS Office understanding.
Physical & Mental Demands:

Must be able to work in a sitting and standing position for extended periods of time in an office/industrial environment.
Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
Ability to hear in person and via phone.
Pay & Benefits Information
The hourly pay range for this position is $27.00-$30.63 per hour. Starting pay is determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with state and federal law.
Benefits include employee and family medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage; company paid life and disability; HSA/FSA options; 401(k) with company match; paid time off and paid holidays; and an Employee Assistance Program. Benefits eligibility begins on day 61 of employment.
