Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus!
Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical; have the ability to work full-time, 40+ hours per week. The hours for this position are 10pm - 6am, Sunday through Thursday.
Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, Bodycote deems this position to be safety-sensitive.
Position Summary:
A Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs facilities and equipment.
Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):
The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Monitor the preventative maintenance programs to ensure that facilities and equipment are cared for on a proactive basis. Complete all preventative maintenance tasks on a timely basis.
Troubleshoot and complete comprehensive repairs to thermal spray equipment through knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, and related skills.
Evaluate maintenance requests to understand problems and determine the best resolution.
Maintain the operating condition of buildings and equipment.
Operate common hand or power tools.
Observe all safety rules in the production areas:
Wearing Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Follow lockout/tag out procedures.
Follow proper tie-off procedures.
Help in other areas as directed.
Use a digital maintenance management system to track work and log information related to completed tasks.
Maintain documentation and reports related to environmental and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:

This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or permanent resident cardholders.
Education – High School diploma. Two-year technical degree a plus.
Experience – minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
Strongly prefer candidates who have a working knowledge of thermal spray technology and general industrial technologies, including electronics, robotics, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read equipment schematics.
Familiarity with digital maintenance management systems preferred.

Must be able to work in an industrial environment, including at elevated heights and in confined spaces.
Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
Ability to bend, pull, stoop, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach to perform functions.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
Ability to hear in person and via phone.
Pay & Benefits Information
The hourly pay range for this position is $32.00-$42.32 per hour. Starting pay is determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with state and federal law.
Benefits include employee and family medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage; company paid life and disability; HSA/FSA options; 401(k) with company match; paid time off and paid holidays; and an Employee Assistance Program. Benefits eligibility begins on day 61 of employment.
