Regional Maintenance Engineer
Pay Range $130,000 - $150,000 based on skills/experience

Summary:
The Regional Maintenance Engineer is a hands-on technical leader responsible for improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime across ADE West plants. This role partners closely with plant leadership and maintenance teams to troubleshoot complex issues, implement reliability strategies, and standardize maintenance practices. You will lead root cause analysis, drive continuous improvement, and support capital projects while ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following.
Reliability & Troubleshooting
· Provide hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting support for complex equipment failures
· Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
· Analyze CMMS data to identify trends, high-frequency failures, and improvement opportunities
Maintenance Strategy & Standardization
· Develop and deploy maintenance standards, including:
· Equipment narratives
· Troubleshooting guides
· Preventive maintenance (PM) strategies
· Standard work procedures
· Drive PM compliance and optimize maintenance programs using reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles
Training & Capability Building
· Train maintenance teams, operators, and plant leadership on equipment, systems, and best practices
· Ensure effective use and accuracy of CMMS systems across the region
Asset & Inventory Management
· Identify critical spare parts and establish optimized inventory levels
· Partner with plant leadership to ensure availability of key components
Projects & Capital Execution
· Execute maintenance-related CAPEX projects in a matrixed organization
· Manage project scope, schedule, and budget for:
· Equipment installations
· Upgrades and refurbishments
· Facility improvements
· Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and timeline requirements
· Support equipment installation, commissioning, and startup
Operational Excellence
· Improve key maintenance KPIs (Downtime, PM Compliance, MTBF, MTTR)
· Drive continuous improvement using data analysis, Pareto, and Lean methodologies
· Support facility layout optimization for material flow and safety compliance
Collaboration & Communication
· Partner with plant leadership, vendors, and OEMs to improve equipment performance
· Provide clear reporting and updates to regional and executive leadership
Safety & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with EHS standards and regulatory requirements
· Promote a strong safety culture across all activities
Additional
· Provide both written and oral communication on an ongoing basis to both the Regional Operations Management and Executive Engineering.
· Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.

Required
· This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
· 5+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
· Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience with:
o Motors, pumps, and cooling systems
o Industrial controls and electrical systems
o Furnaces and combustion systems
· Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance data analysis
· Proven experience with RCA and reliability improvement methods
· Ability to travel up to 60%
Preferred
· Experience in heat treatment or metals processing (vacuum, batch IQ, air furnaces)
· Lean certification (or willingness to obtain)
· CAD experience

· Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods of time (at desk, while driving, and/or on airplane travel) in an office/industrial environment.
· Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
· Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.
· Ability to lift 25-30 lbs.
· May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
· Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
· Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
· Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
· Ability to hear in person and via phone.
