Our Hebron location primarily supports the Aerospace and Land-Based Power Generation markets, developing advanced engineered thermal spray coating solutions and providing Best-in-Class support to our worldwide customer base.

Position Summary
Based in Hebron, Kentucky, the Utility Operator performs essential job functions associated with thermal spray processes under the direction of the Production Supervisor to meet customer specifications, including assisting other employees as needed.
The Utility Operator performs duties in any production department and will be cross-trained in:
Post-processing operations on customer parts after the coating operation
Grit blasting parts prior to coating
Masking parts to cover areas that will not receive thermal spray coating
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
Primary duties consist of, but are not limited to:
Process Execution: Complete steps of the thermal spray process including masking, grit blasting, deburring, and grinding using various hand tools.
Work Order Review: Review job folders to verify specific areas of parts to be processed (masked, post-processed, or grit blasted).
Quality & Inspection:
Perform visual inspection of parts for defects.
Follow in-process inspection procedures as needed to verify current operations meet customer and job folder requirements.
Tool Operation: Perform appropriate processing per work instructions and job folders using various hand tools.
Documentation & Tracking: Record and sign off on all applicable data defined in the job folder.
Reporting: Report all problems, job folder inaccuracies, damaged parts, and/or post-processing material issues to the Lead or Supervisor.
Continuous Improvement: Assist the supervisor in developing processes to improve operations.
EHS Compliance: Observe all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Policy requirements:
Keep work area neat and orderly at all times.
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Dispose of waste per safety standards.
Customer Inventory Care: Perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to protect customer inventory from loss or damage.
Professional Conduct: Report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.
General: Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by the position.

ITAR Compliance: Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements (must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder).
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Experience using hand tools to perform manual processes (preferred).
Experience working in a production environment (preferred).
Skills: Demonstrated organization and documentation skills.
Physical & Mental Demands
Position & Movement: Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods in an industrial environment. Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach.
Manual Dexterity: Steady hands and high attention to detail to perform manual masking, grit/sand blasting, and post-processing operations.
Lifting: Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Work Environment: May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, humidity, and related industrial conditions.
Cognitive & Communication: Mental capacity to perform essential job functions. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, and files. Ability to hear in person and via phone.
